When Boost FitClub Co-Founder Jon Sexton was 8 years old, his mother was diagnosed with emphysema. Immediately, he took on responsibilities most children are not faced with. Through the years, a frustration grew watching his mother lose quality in her life. When Jon turned 16, he started working in a health club. Here he realized that a health club is more than machines and locker rooms, it was a place for preventative care. While attending college, Jon became a certified personal trainer at the age of 19. When his mother passed a year later, Jon was determined to help others live a high quality life. He then earned numerous certifications in sports nutrition, post-rehabilitation and strength and conditioning.  After graduating from California State University Fresno, Jon moved to Nashville.

In 2001, he met Boost FitClub Co-Founder Tarik Ramusovic. Tarik had recently moved from Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina, after spending time on the Bosnian National Ski Team. During his training, Tarik found a passion in the science of nutrition and understanding the psychological process of elite level athletes. Through many years of experience and continuous education in conditioning, nutrition and counseling, Tarik is able to apply strategies that have been most effective in optimizing performance of pro athletes to help people across all fitness levels.

When Jon and Tarik started working together in 2001, they realized that they shared more than a passion for fitness, but a vision to create a place that generates results through accountability, care, education, motivation, and science.  Together they have worked with all levels of fitness ranging from All Pro NFL players to a first timer. In 2008, Boost FitClub was created.

Both Jon and Tarik are on the floor coaching daily, are Bellevue residents, and take pride in honest business and enhancing your life.

We welcome you to Boost FitClub.
